wow...what a coincidence...me and my mom was just commenting on it yesterday in the car..just because she think puasa doesnt bring any meaning..
then i went home to search about it, and this is what i get:
Puasa means fasting from dawn to sunset, about half day laf..
It brings to great meanings to Muslims, 1.practicing self-control,2.surrender to Allah.
well, i have my own opinions, i think puasa is meaningful, because when you feel hungry, you know what is hunger, then you will understand others who are in hunger. Puasa is just something like in Buddhism aalso, for certain monks, they take the precept to refrain from eating after noon.
BUT:
1.Muslims are not allowed to drink during puasa, so my mom thinks it's quite unhealthy.
2.Most Muslims nowadays do not follow this religous practice, since they are not allowed to eat utside, they will also eat pork secretly in the office(nothing more to eat).

therefore, Puasa, a good practice, must be followed by Muslims...why go and eat like a cat??hehe...

哈哈,让马来人还记得自己是马来人;让穆斯林还记得自己是穆斯林。

Well, I do believe that when u feel hungry, u are suffering.

I wondering will they (mostly my Muslim friends) think about the poor.
Did the child educate with this concept "when u hungry, think about the others"?

What I see from Puasa is:
1.
Traffic jam
Everyone is park all around the road to buy food from the Pasar Ramadan.

2.
Over-eating
When you are fasting for almost 12 hours, you will think everything is delicious, so you will buy and buy and buy.

3.
Unhealthy food
The food that sold in the stall are not healthy, full of OIL and ajinomoto.

yup, maybe you're right..'cause most of them forget the real meaning of puasa..
just like what happens to some buddhist, or even christians, the longer some idea or teaching stays in a place, the more it will be misunderstood..
